The post earthquake Sichuan in 2008 left tens and thousands of people needing relief. As the affected areas were extensive and terrain complicated, individual pockets were still in need of relief a couple of months after the quake. The Foundation readily contacted our local counterparts --- “The Green Ribbon”, a Mainland voluntary body, and obtained approval of the authority to let us render direct services to the quake areas, in particular resuming school operations and improving the daily life of those affected.
The Foundation paid a second visit to Sichuan in mid-November 08 to ensure due diligence of our relief work. We brought with us winter clothes and quilts, some educational equipment, stationery and computers.
